A deflector shield directs processed hay upwards towards a top deflector and a curtain that redirects the feed into a bunk. You get the flexibility of using the Bale Pro in the feedlot, and can still use the Bale Pro for spreading straw or windrowing feed in the field. Bedding cattle with round bales can be a time consuming and back-breaking chore if you have to do it by hand. Even if you can roll out round straw bales, the straw is so compressed that you end up wasting material.
The Bale Pro 8100 can uniformly spread straw up to 50 feet for clean, dry cattle and reduced straw costs. The Bale Pro 8100 can also significantly reduce feeding costs. Highline’s Bale Pro chops and mixes round bales, blowing away mold, dust and mildew, making feed more palatable and reducing stress on cattle. Even if your hay appears clean, molds and mildews still develop and make the hay less palatable unless you process. Some cattlemen report reduced feeding costs of 15 percent to 30 percent with the use of a Highline Bale Pro.
Bunk Feeding Management
The goal of a successful feeding strategy is to deliver consistent, nutritious, fressh feed in a manner that maximizes feed intake and minimizes waste and spoilage. The Highline Bale Pro 8100 does just that — leaving you with processed, dry, full bunks that maximizes your cattle feed intake. Processing your bales allow mold spores and dust to evacuate which equates to healthier cattle.
Bunk feeding is a standard feature. Add the Highline FEED CHOPPER (patent pending) option to further increase the feed value of your baled material by cutting long stringy or stalky material to a cut length of an average of 3".
